The CZ 527 Lux is a traditional European style model featuring open sights and a Turkish walnut stock in the famous Bavarian pattern.

The CZ 527 is a true micro length Mauser style action, featuring controlled feeding of the cartridge, a detachable magazine and a hammer forged barrel. The trigger mechanism is of a single set design with an adjustable set trigger, on special order a single stage trigger can be supplied.

The trigger itself is adjustable for pull weight and trigger travel. The two-position safety positively secures the rifle against unintentional discharge while simultaneously blocking the bolt in a closed position. The top of the receiver has milled dovetail grooves 16 mm wide to accommodate scope mounts or you can use the fixed sights that come with the CZ 527 Lux.

Czech made rifles have been a favourite rimfire amongst Kiwi’s since the Brno Model 1’s and 2’s came out in the 1950’s and the model and the 600 series later on. They continue to be a favourite with lots of exciting new models available that set them apart from other manufactures.

This rifle features a BobOx blued finish, BobOx a heating treatment with anti-corrosive effect. The difference between Bobox and Bluing or Cerakote is that the surface treatment goes deeper into the steel during heat treatment, the layer is deeper and finish is retained even when the firearm is scratched.
